Last Sunday i went to meet a wedding planner Kak Wiwin. Since im not getting married (yet) i appoint her as my engagement planner.Alhamdulillah...i no need to worry anymore about make-up and the engagement altar as i already handed it over to Kak Wiwin to get the job done.
I can cross off my list for the catering services as my mom had taken care of it as well through her acquaintances.
All that is left is my engagement dress. I havent custom made my engagement dress yet..and i have to go back to my hometown again this week to follow up with Kak Wiwin since she said she also accept custom made dress for wedding/engagement.
Although a few things had settled, but i can see there's still a long way to go. Door gifts and decoration for hantaran gifts is next on my list and oh there's still a few hantaran stuffs we havent bought for each other so probably we're gonna go shop again by the end of this month.
How i wish i was a man.I accompanied 'Mr.Fiance-to-be' to a tailor later that evening to custom made his engagement attire...and it can be done only in 10 days time!

Preparation begins...
10.09.2011, saturday.
It has been a busy weeks for me as i had been preparing for my engagement ceremony. I've got 2 months left to get everything ready in perfection (or not so). Hence last 2 weeks; me, 'Mr.soon to be fiance' and one of my bestie arranged for a meet up to discuss and hunt for a few stuff for my engagement.
So we have decided to hit it off to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman as our first stop. While waiting for my friend to arrived at the said place, i've decided to look for lanterns for decorations with Mr.E. So we went to Petaling Street and looked for a shop called 'The Basket Shop'. I cant give the exact direction to this place as i was very bad at direction. I can only said it was situated at the very end of the Petaling Street which u have to turned left to a narrow path before the McDonald's.
Though im happy to find my theme coloured lanterns as the deco, i was a bit upset in terms of their poor services. Not mentioning they were quite idiotic at the same time. Im looking for the white, pastel pink & pastel yellow coloured lanterns, however they give me the peach coloured lanterns and told us that the pastel yellow's one were out of stock. Unsatisfied, i went to the back myself where the colourful lanterns located. I found the yellow coloured lanterns before my eyes stacked there and took it out. Mr.E is quite pissed and confront the person in charge and told her off that the yellow coloured lanterns were in stock, and she said 'yes we got yellow,who said we didnt have yellow?' duh, she's the one who said it a few minutes earlier! and she can managed to lie straight to our face?! what a dumbass! (woooops! sorry for the rude word, actually im having a bridezilla symptoms in advance and easily got irritated when i cant get what i want) Thank god ive got Mr.E to scold people around for me, as im already stressed enough.
After getting the lanterns, we headed off to Jalan Tar and meet up with my friend there. Then we headed off for lunch first as its already noon at the nearest mamak restaurant and begin our hunt soon afterwards. We managed to find fabrics for our hantaran sepersalinan and fabrics for both of my besties who would become my dayang2 on my e-day.
Later on, we bid our goodbyes to my friend but the day doesnt end there. Me & Mr.E continue our hunts for hantaran gifts at One Utama shopping Center Damansara and we reached home around 11 pm. Though exhausted we managed to find half of the hantaran gifts and especially... the engagement ring:)

The First Entourage...
Praise to god...on september 2nd 2011, the 'merisik' or 'to inquire' entourage from the men side to set the date for the engagement date went on well. I cant tell or describe how i felt that day...still shocked & surprised that this engagement ceremony will really take place, sad because im no longer a little girl anymore and have to prepare to let myself go from my family guardians and care (halfway as it'll be full way when u got married later), afraid of the test 'dugaan' that i might face as a fiance and the responsibility that i might have to carry after this, frightened whether i make the right choice to be engaged...and all kinds of mixed feelings inside. However in spite of all that feelings, there's a feeling of bliss and a thing called happiness inside of me...:) We've gone thru soo muchhh for the past 5 years of our relationship and i think its about time that we deserved to be happy.
Although the decisions to get engaged was so sudden (we also didnt expected that we're gonna get engaged this fast,trust me both of us felt surprised and stunned as well) but as i said before i just believed that 'Once He has a plan for you there's nothing that can ever stop Him from making it happen'...i guess its just that 'our time' has come...soon or later your time will come as well...and u may never know. There's no better explanation or answer that i can give if people around us starts questioning our decisions.When people ask when ur gonna get married?ur gonna said "oh lame lagi..i tak ready lagila" ("not anytime soon..im not ready yet") but when 'it' did come for you...it just will without u knowing.Sometimes u just got to have faith in God that everything we do or did in this world, is when He is willing so and according to His permission.But if u go all the way,plan everything in this whole wide world this and that, but He didnt permit u to do so...it still wont happen.
Here, i would like say my bunch of gratefulness to my BFF Izzati, Natalie and Hanim for being so supportive and delightful when i delivered the news:) They literally jump with joy and fill with spirits of excitement. They never question and far from speculating why the engagement being held so fast...they just being so purely happy for me! :') (i think they were more exited than i am!tee-hee-hee) They've been on my back and on my side through my ups and downs and through my worst and happiness. They've been a loyal friend to me while others would be contemplating to be on my back and on my side.And i think no one else is deserved to be my dayang2 on my e-day except them:) Thank You my sayangness~ :)
Before i forget, i did tell you on my 1st post that im going to tell you why i do feel happy and exited? So the date has been confirmed 20.11.2011.
20.11 marks our 6th year anniversary:) its jz so happen that it was in a year of 2011.So not only the date rhymes together (we heart it) but it also marks our 6th years of togetherness:)
Pray for us that everything would go well...Amin.
